Forms can be one of the most frustrating things to implement on WordPress. It sounds like it should be simple to get a reliable plugin that provides the ability to provide a simple contact form or even a complex form that allows some simple math calculations.
I’ve compiled a list of a few plugins that I like and why. Let’s start with the simplest contact type form in WordPress. There are two plugins that I use frequently:
Contact Form 7
This free plugin, found HERE, is pretty simple to set up provided you don’t need a whole lot of customization and, of course, it’s free! You can create multiple forms and embed them on any page/post you like with shortcode.
You can also use Simple CATPCHA plugin with Contact Form 7 to reduce or eliminate bot spam.
Gravity Forms is a paid plugin at a reasonable price, found HERE. It offers some really nice features including an easy to use interface that has a lot of capablility. You can also create multiple forms here and use some built in functionality to style your form to your liking. It works pretty well without customization also. And, since you’re paying for it you can rely on their support staff to handle any issues or questions you might have.
Calculated Fields Forms
This free plugin, found HERE, is a must if you’re looking to provide any type of calculation in your form. I’ve used it to create some simple calculator-type forms for both alimony as seen here:
Or for a Blood Concentration form seen here:
